What We Expect of Volunteers, Crew Members, and Sojourners
Jesus took on the form of a servant and as He conforms us to His likeness, we serve with a willing heart and a joyful attitude. Here are some of the things we expect of those serving with us.
Genuine and earnest pursuit of Jesus Christ and His Kingdom. This is a holy place for those who are serious about their devotion and service to God and His Kingdom. Willing and joyful service: Everyone is here of our own free will to offer ourselves in service to God. Let’s do it joyfully together. Exemplary adherence to all Ministry House Policies and Cultural Guidelines. (Available upon request.) Regular attendanceand participation in Ministry House activities, events, and at Crew and/or House meetings. Holy and honorable living which sets the example of conduct in the household of God. (See Suitable for Service Evaluation, available upon request.) Modest dress that is age and gender appropriate, not overly revealing or provocative, with consideration for our multi-cultural environment. Decent and appropriatelanguage that is full of grace rather than crude joking or sarcasm. No gossip or cutting down of others. Deferenceand service to other Visitors, Guests, Volunteers, Crew Members, and Leadership in preference of self. No soliciting. Trust God to supply your needs by asking Him to provide for you – not by asking other people. You may receive gifts from Crew or Guests but you may not solicit. Cleanliness in your personal hygiene and in your Room. We reserve the right to inspect/search rooms at random for any reason. Financial Offerings as God guides you. No mandatory contributions are required but we ask that you remain in a posture of generosity and sharing as you obey God with your giving. God loves a cheerful giver. When the Church of Acts honored God through their giving, God's power worked mightily among them. (Consider Acts 4:32-35.)
